EHEAP - (Winter Crisis Program) Designed to assist low-income households with energy crisis such as the disconnection or pending disruption of service on a metered utility or those having less than a ten day supply of bulk fuel.  Households must be at or below 200% of the poverty level.

HEAP - (Home Energy Assistance Program) Assists eligible households to meet the high cost of heating with a one-time lump sum payment on the primary heating utility bill.  Click here for HEAP guidelines.

HWAP - (Home Weatherization Assistance Program) Provides attic and sidewall insulation, minor window and door repair, safety inspection, tune-up, and repair of heating unit in an effort to conserve energy by lowering the usage of gas and electric.  Households must be at or below 200% of the poverty level.

CHIP - (Mercer County Community Housing Improvement Program) Assists with housing rehabilitation and home repair.  These programs are available to existing single-family homeowners who reside within Mercer County.  Homeowner Rehabilitation (loan) assistance is available to bring properties up to Ohio Residential Rehabilitation Standards.  Home Repair (grant) assistance is available for repairs that pose an immediate threat to the health and safety of the occupants.  Maximum amounts must not exceed $30,000 and $8,000 respectively.

Salvation Army - SOURCES is the service unit for Auglaize and Mercer Counties.  Some services provided are utility payments, gasoline for restricted eligible needs, medical prescriptions, and transient meals and lodging.  Requests may be taken for committee review regarding other temporary or emergent needs.  Applications are also accepted for (Summer) Camp Swoneky.
